Nissan Sport Cars Concept Motivity 400C by Tryi Yeh Relies on Maglev

Faster, harder, stronger! The Nissan-Motivity 400C Sport Cars Concept by Tryi Yeh. The 400C has the Maglev engine system in each tire, making it quite floaty and speedy. The 400C has a wild, new triangle shape that reduces drag, while the driver seat controls retain their classic build. It is the latest creation of the brilliant visor and stunning feature characteristics from the side of Nissan by Tryi Yeh. But spreading his periphery, the Taiwanese designer has designed a car that takes you straight into the future.

Maglev, or magnetic levitation has been hailed as the future of high speed transportation since long, but the idea is predominantly based on trains. With the Motivity 400-C design proposal, designer Tryi Yeh intends to bring magnetic levitation from train tracks to roads.

This concept car uses maglev motor system that has made it even stronger with each deck, which allows great control, functionality and style. The triangle-shaped bode this car reduces drag of air, therefore, this car offers better acceleration and is able to save more power. Wheel was traditional, so the driver can have the ultimate driving experience.

A little more info on the Maglev concept: The use of the physical properties of magnetic fields generated by superconducting magnets to cause an object (as a vehicle) to float above a solid surface. Merriam Webster Dictionary ; This method has the potential to be faster, quieter and smoother than wheeled mass transit systems. The technology has the potential to exceed 4,000 mph (6,400 km/h) if deployed in an evacuated tunnel.

Also, it turns out that if you use the technology to its max potential and in an evacuated tunnel, you might even reach speeds up to 6,400 km/h. Of course, this is pure theory and one that applies to bullet trains on magnetic levitation tracks…

Street Racing Car
There are several subtypes for this illegal behavior involving planned events. One of them, and by far one of the most popular, is drag racing. In this two or more cars can compete, and it is similar to the red-light green-light spontaneous scenario. Except in the planned event it will usually be three honks of a horn, whereupon the third the participants take off down a designated length of road. The first one to reach the finish line, usually two cars parked across from each other, is declared the winner, unless the contest is 2 out of 3. During this the vehicles will often be redlined, however shifting while redlined is very risky, and poses the severe risk of totally ruining the car’s transmission and damaging the engine. Therefore the driver must be very skilled at shifting before redlining, managing the acceleration to prevent spin, and finally maneuvering next to another vehicle with no barrier in between. The results of these races can be tragic, as both cars could be going at more that 100 miles per hour, and another car, unaware of the event, pulls out on its normal route. What then occurs is a spectacular accident in which many men women and children have so far lost their lives. This is why many races occur between the hours of 2 and 5 AM.

2011 Hyundai Tucson Review

2011 hyundai tucson

The Hyundai Tucson is almost identical to its European and Korean-market counterparts, and is built on the same Elantra-based platform as the Kia Sportage. For the latest model, the Tucson benefits from Hyundai’s newest “fluidic sculpture” design themes, and improves significantly in style compared to the outgoing model.

Like the Sonata, the Tucson is powered exclusively by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder Theta engine that cranks out 176 horsepower — more than the outgoing model’s optional V6. Hyundai expects fuel economy to top out at an impressive 31 mpg on the highway (23 around town) with the optional six-speed automatic (six-speed manual standard) and the base front-wheel-drive setup. Expect a hit for all-wheel-drive models — Hyundai estimates 21 mpg around town and 28 mpg on the highway.

The outgoing model features three trim levels and two engines, and the latest model features two trim levels and a single engine for launch. The now standard model is labeled as the GLS, and the range-topping model remains the Limited.

The latest Tucson is now complemented with more agile handling, responsive steering and improved body roll control. Enhancements such as the MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension systems provide more precise wheel control and a smoother ride and make the new Tucson more fun-to-drive. To further aid in improved handling manners, stabilizer bar diameters have also increased with the front suspension growing to a 25 mm hollow stabilizer bar, yet saving weight versus the predecessors 21 mm solid stabilizer bar. The rear suspension has a new 18 mm solid stabilizer bar versus the predecessors 14 mm stabilizer bar. These larger stabilizer bars help to keep the vehicle flat during cornering and help provide quicker turn-in response.

The newest Tucson is actually longer than its predecessor by about 3.3 inches, but weighs in at 3,203 lbs — 61 lbs less than the outgoing model. This extra length helps inside, as the Tucson grows significantly in terms of both design and space. An optional panorama moonroof, Bluetooth and a CleanAir ionizer for the climate control system up the luxury ante.

Although not immediately available at launch, Hyundai will offer a Tucson Blue with an efficiency-oriented 2.0-liter base engine with dual variable valve timing that will achieve better fuel economy and power than the outgoing four-cylinder base engine. Both engines will be available with either six-speed automatic or manual gearboxes.

2011 Ultimate Aero II Sports Cars New SSC Supercar

The SSC Ultimate Aero II (pics thanks to Jalopnik). The first photos of the SSC Ultimate Aero II, which hopes to take back the crown as world’s fastest production car in 2011. The car world may have been in melt down for the last year or three, but some things are beyond recession. Ultimate hypercars is one, and it seems there are as many uber-wealthy people on the planet who are willing and able to indulge their desires for the best there can be as ever. A new car that hails from America is set to dethrone the Veyron Super Sport and grab the world's fastest title. 2011 Ultimate Aero II Sports Cars New SSC Supercar. That car is the new SSC Ultimate Aero II. The top speed of the Ultimate Aero II is pegged at somewhere north of what the Veyron is capable of.

SSC was quietly building some of the most extreme vehicles on earth until it leapt onto the global stage by topping the original Bugatti Veyron's record-setting top-speed with a scorching 255.83-mph run, 3.11 mph faster than the Veyron, in its first generation Ultimate Aero pictured in the gallery below. That record stood for nearly two years until the Veyron Super Sport smashed it with a 268-mph averaged run last month. The Ultimate Aero II will be powered by a 6.2-liter V8 which will produce some 1,200 HP. The car will debut next year and will challenge the record speed of 268 mph set by the Veyron Super Sport. Last month SSC teased the next Ultimate Aero. Now we have the first photos. We still don’t know what SSC has done to the existing 256 mph,1,183-hp 6.2-liter V8 to make it deliver another 13mph to break the Veyron, but now we know what it looks like.
